Why LED – Commercial Forces Rule Us All
This is the first in a five-week series of blog posts talking about one of the most interesting and highest profit margin digital display products that is available on the market today.
User demand is growing month by month and not just in the AV industry. Marketing, brand consultants, print & signage companies are all capitalizing on the demand that exists right now for LED.
Why LED – Commercial Forces Rule Us All
“Two years ago I was home and there was no LED. I was home this Christmas and it’s everywhere, there are no more poster billboards, it’s all LED”
These words were spoken to me last February by a DOOH (Digital Out of Home) advertising expert who lives here in Dublin but hails from New Zealand. When he was home visiting family, he noticed a complete change in the landscape of his beautiful islands.
The same is happening here in Ireland. It’s just not as recognisable when you’re living here, seeing each outdoor billboard and indoor media wall appear one by one. If you travelled away for two years and came back LED would smack you in the face when you land in Dublin Airport and all over the country now.
So, what is happening? Well, it’s a worldwide trend and the commercial demand for LED has simply continued to grow in every corner of the world. Commercial forces rule in this world, so we can either recognize it and make the most of it for each of our businesses or we let it pass us by.
LED indoor media walls are now ubiquitous in any new commercial office reception area and more often than not architects are incorporating LED displays into the design all over the building. They are the new normal already, it’s time to capitalise on this, and Avitor are positioned as your distributor to enable you with this fantastic display technology.
LED outdoor billboards are already in every small town and all over cities. In Dublin alone JC Decaux have rolled out their “Digipanels” all over the city, Pzazz has a 36 square metre LED billboard on the corner of Cuffe Street and there are countless other examples from Dundalk to Donegal.
Although planning authorities in the past 20 years have been reluctant to grant permission for this type of outdoor signage there is a truth that they cannot ignore, “commercial forces rule us all”.
Whether you have already installed LED displays or are completely new to this technology Avitor are perfectly positioned to enable your business to offer a complete solution to your clients. Our staff have taken over 100 LED projects from start to finish in the past 3 years, all in partnership with our resellers who we can offer a “supply only” quote to or can work from beginning to project completion to ensure end-user satisfaction every time.
The next steps: We know the market for LED is simply growing from strength to strength, there is a huge opportunity for you, as our trade partner, to capitalize on this for your business. During COVID it has been LED projects that have helped keep people employed and businesses above water. It sounds counter-intuitive, but LED projects are easily signed off by end-users because they see the long terms value in this type of display.
We have a huge opportunity to open the market up and in Avitor it is our opinion that 2020 to 2025 will be the period of time where LED will grow fastest in Ireland, but also where our resellers can make the most profit margin on the product. Avitor are Ireland’s distributor for Unilumin, the world’s biggest-selling LED brand in 2019. We are experts in this industry, and we are here to help you expand your display offering and ultimately help your business grow.
Next week we’ll talk about the type of clients you can target with the highest chance of success, delving into the various type of LED from transparent screens, curved, ceiling-mounted, floor LED, coach/ bus destination boards and much more.
Call or email today if you would like to discuss or even better come into our demo room in Glasnevin, Dublin for a coffee and business development meeting.
